What's the topic?
The topic couldn't be simpler and more wide-spread: Draw (at least) one of my characters! You are allowed to do almost everything you want. And if I say so, I mean it! You can join not only with pictures, but also with stories, peoms, comics, flashes, ect... whatever comes to your mind! No matter if it's a crossover, coplays, funny situations, battles, ect... So if you are not skilled in drawing, you could also join with a short story; it's all up to you! Scroll down to the bottom of this journal to find current references of my characters.

How to join
You don't have to sign in or anything to join. Just start to work on your entry and send me a note with a link as soon as you uploaded it. Please note that I will take the entries only if they are submitted on your account on dA. I also won't take "older" works of yours, only ones that are created to join this contest in the first place. ;3

Any rules?
Well... kinda:
1. As long as you are a dA-member, you can join!
2. Your entry has to include at least one of my characters! You are allowed to add more characters, no matter if it's your own or two characters of mine (or characters related to my ones), but the focus has to lie on my character.
3. Of course you are allowed to change the character's clothes (for drawing them cosplaying, i.e.)
4. No hentai, plz! But long as it doesn't need to be marked as mature content, you can do whatever you want. Same goes for bloody pictures.
5. No old works of you, not tracing, stealing, ripping or anything like that (obvious, I hope)!

This might help you...
You can gain "extra points", if you want to put it like this, by:
1. Keeping my character's personality. I.e. an absolutely don't would be drawing Selina smiling! But if you don't hit their personality on a 100%, I won't kill you either. I just want to avoid to see too random entries having nothing to do with the character itself. ;3
2. You can also make fun of my characters! If you do that, you are free to change their personality. I wouldn't mind about the personality being switched then anymore, and don't worry, this wouldn't give you any disadvantages as long as it's understandable as a joke and funny.
3. Be creative! The better the idea, the better your chance to win!
4. Put effort into your work! A good idea is important, but not everything. You have to permute it as well!
5. You can join with up to 3 entries. And hey, the more pictures, the better your chance of winning!
6. I won't take it this much into consideration, but if you hit my likes... o3o *stabbed*
7. Have fun!

Questions that were asked:

If I decide to write a story, does I have to write in english?
Of course, english should be your language of choice. But for some odd reason I am quite used to the german language as well, and since I am the only judge in this contest, you possibly can also write it in German.

Can I draw your characters in a different style, like in a human form, ect.?
Why, yes. I don't want to limit your creativity, so it's not necessary to draw them in Sonic-related styles. As long as everyone is able to recognize them, it's absolutely fine!

How exactly are the places going to be decided?
Well, first, second and third place will be given only once. I will judge under different aspects, scroll up to "This might help you..." to get an idea of what I understand as a good entry. The fourth place is something like a special place and can be given to more than only one person. People who i.e. have a good entry, didn't make it under the best three but deserve a price, though or who joins with more than just one entry might get an extra sketch.

Can I add my own characters?
If you read the rules, YES, you absolutely can do that! You can also add official characters or characters of others (with their permission, of course!).
